My name is Wei Liu (刘薇)

I am a proud mom living in San Francisco’s Parkside neighborhood. Back in 2006, when I transferred my eldest son, Ty, to our newly remodeled neighborhood elementary school (DFES), I hit an unexpected hurdle: finding a high-quality Chinese language education for my children.

I tried program after program, but always came up short. None of them offered a structured, academic-based curriculum that grew alongside a child’s natural cognitive development year after year. At the same time, I wanted to avoid the rigid, discipline-only drilling that I experienced growing up. I didn't want my children to dread learning; I wanted them to experience the joy of spontaneous, passionate discovery.

Driven by this vision, I created an after-school Mandarin program to serve the families in our neighborhood. Today, this unique language-study model has proven its value, helping generations of students master Chinese and build a truly bilingual mindset.

I am proud to collaborate with the most brilliant, passionate Chinese educators in the field. Together, we live by the philosophy jiāoshū yùrén (教书育人)—understanding that true education is about nurturing the whole person to serve society. Our greatest reward is watching our students thrive, embodying the classic saying táolǐ mǎn tiānxià (桃李满天下): "Our peaches and plums—our cherished students—are blossoming all over the world."

Ms. Mei Lan Lee 李美兰老师

Ms. Lee has been teaching Mandarin language to all grades throughout the world, at DFES she instrumentally implemented the Mandarin Language after School program when we first
launched QiaoJi Mandarin in 2009. Ms.Lee’s determination and interest in bridging the need in Mandarin education, she took the lead,she prefers to teach mandarin to the TK, K kids at DFES,she discovered each child’s personality and strength, encourages their curiosity and confidence in learning a foreign languages in the English domain multi-cultural context of our society makes learning Mandarin language fun,and gives the confidence to everyone for their lifetime benefit.

Ms. Lee studied Journalism in Taiwan and is very fond of Chinese Language and Arts. Ms. Lee’s teaching career in Mandarin Teaching ranges from all ages, from infants to adults . Ms.
Lee loves kids, her teaching success results are eminent in our society.

2009年,李美兰老师开创凡事但小学课后中文班。旧金山是个多元文化社区空间,李老师集本人中文语言教育在世界范围内的教学经验,总结出了这个适合于当地居民所需的中文语言教育模式和理念。

李美兰老师来自台湾, 毕业于台湾新闻大学。自移居美国以来,一直从事中文语言与历史文化的
研究和教育发展。李老师致力于TK , K 教育,提好和鼓励新学生们学校中文语言的兴趣和爱好,
李老师的教育能力广泛, 桃李片天下。

Ms. Yan Tian 田言老师

Mandarin and Pekingese are the same side of the Chinese language equation. Ms. Tian is the only teacher in our QiaoJi Mandarin who can pronounce Mandarin the authentic way. She has been teaching Mandarin all her entire career as a Chinese Language teacher, been in Ms.
Tian’s class room is the best experience in studying Chinese language to learn proper pronunciation.

Ms. Tian has been teaching in our group since the beginning of our establishment. Has been continuing her contribution to our society, her passion in teaching kids and adults in our community is valued greatly. Ms. Tian loves the kids, in her own word:” being with kids, I will never grow old in my heart”

It is a treasure having Ms. Tian in our team of educators.

在中文语言学校当中，普通话和北京话是一回事，田言老师是我们中文学校中唯一的北京腔。田老师教了一辈子的中文, 培育出一大批量从小到老的优秀学生，田老师热爱教育，热爱生活，热爱与小朋友们在一起分享生活的快乐, 用田老师自己的话说：“与小孩子天天在一起, 我的心永远都不会老。”

田老师是桥济中文学校不可缺少的教学动力。永远鼓舞着同事和同学们的成长和进步。

Ms. Win曾莲凤

Ms. Win, an ethnic Chinese from Myanmar, started her teaching career at age of 19, taught Chinese, math, and natural sciences throughout her career in Myanmar. When Ms. Win and her family immigrated to U.S, Ms. Win immediately became a Mandarin Language teacher at our school. Ms. Win has taught different grades, and is a committed teacher. She encourages all of her students to do their best in their own effort to gain the best acknowledgement in strength。She also speaks Myanmar.

曾莲凤来自于缅甸的华裔老师, 19岁开始她自己的职业教育生涯, 在缅甸从事专业教育工作,教
语文,数学,科学,体育等等学科,曾老师自从与家人移民到美国,立即在旧金山桥济中文开始中
文课程的教学,曾老师喜欢鼓励自己的每位学生们对学习做到认真负责的态度来达到学习的目的
,曾老师也给每位学生提供最值得尊敬的学习方式,达到学习的最佳效果。

Ms. Maggie Lau 王璇老师

Ms. Maggie Wang- Lau teaches our upper grades, she joined our teaching team in 2017. Ms. Maggie speaks 4 Chinese dialogues, she was born in ShangHai,grew up in far west province of XingJiang(New Territory) till her entire family was allowed to immigrate to Hong Kong , had lived throughout vast territory of China, after she immigrated to U.S, Ms. Maggie raised her three kids with her husband in San Francisco, she delicate herself to help out community needs by transforming her personal experience into Mandarin Language teaching, Ms. Maggie contributes her love and understanding, all of her students can relate to her strength in advocating for their education by challenging all students going as far as their potential of achievement can go in life.

王璇老师自2017年加入桥济中文学校,任教高年级中文课程,王老师出身上海,成长在新疆,当
她和家人被允许移居香港时,王老师就能说4种不同的中文方言,自从王老师丈夫定居旧金山湾
区以来,王老师投入中文语言教育的行业,推广中文教学的文化理念,王老师的教育理念致力于
挑战学生潜力,为每位学生提供和创造最佳学习条件达到最佳学习的成就。

Ms. Yukui Chen 陈依林老师

Ms.Yukui Chen started teaching Mandarin more than a decade ago, has worked at QiaoJi since 2013,having study Chinese literature. She also teaches origami as an enrichment class to our students. Ms.Chen loves the brain and muscles exercises through hands and eye focus in visual processing, concentration,and logic
while requiring creativity and spatial reasoning. She is also a parent at DFES.

陈依林老师自2013开始在桥济中文学校教中文课，多年来一直是我们团队成员，陈老师教多年纪中文课程，专业学习中国文学，为学生们中开创折纸技术兴趣，陈老师认为折纸艺术不仅是美观上的创举，更是建立大脑与眼神经功能之间相互协调的逻辑与空间练习的过程，陈老师自己也是凡事单小学的家长。

Ms. Yanshan Chang 张雅姗老师

Yanshan Chang,we all love to call her Ms.Cathy, obtained her teaching career in TaiWai, in the past 30years living in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has been a Mandarin Teacher, her teaching experience in both expertise in kids and adults are out standing, she is generous at heart, patient with students, approaches her teaching method with loving and understanding of each individual's strength. She always go extra miles to make sure everyone of her students can get her best support and also guide and lead to their successes , since Ms.Cathy’s Mandarin
Language Teaching career in QiaoJi’s establishment. Ms.Cathy has been the champion for colleague's team professional growth effect, within our own professional development,
advocate, modify teaching method to best suit the needs of the students to thrive in U S Mandarin Language Teaching.

张雅姗老师，大家最熟悉的她都叫她Cathy老师，在台湾开始职业中文教育，移民美国30多年，一直从事专业中文语言文字教学研究工作，在张老师主导的职业教育生涯中，总是以自己最擅长的方式去启发诱导学生，从而挖掘出每个学生的潜力。自从张老师在桥济中文任教以来，张老师领导桥济教师专业队伍的职业发展，创新，并领导与同事们的共同合作，开发教学研究课题，来达到适应美国中文语言教学教育的最佳方式和效果。

Ms. Joanne Lin 林名爰老师

Ms. Joanne Lin joined our team first in 2022, supporting Mandarin teaching at Starr King Mandarin immersion elementary school. Her versatile style of teaching to different ages of kids
has made her a true value to our team, Ms.Lin comes from TaiWan, before she immigrated to U.S. She worked at a high tech financial security exchange firm as a manager, since her settlement in San Francisco, she has engaged herself in training and practice in mandarin
language teaching. Ms.Lin is dedicated to learning, culture,and community.

林名爰老师最早加入桥济中文学校是在2022年，进驻旧金山公立小学StarrKIng，提供中文语言教育服务。林老师个人的教育方式多样化，能适应各种各样不同学生的不同学习类型和兴趣，林老师来自台湾，曾在台外高科技金融机构担任管理职务，自从移民美国，在旧金山安置人生，林老师专职中文语言教育的行业，成为社区中华文化传播的的力量。

Ms. Nancy Shao

Ms. Nancy has been teaching Mandarin for 10 years , Ms. Nancy joined our team in 2025. She enjoys the kids energy, guiding kids in hand and mind coordination in her classroom, crafts,
singing, and storytelling is her strong hold. Ms. Nancy is also a Mandarin translator, she works at a senior facility in San Francisco. Ms.Nancy is also an excellent cook and gardener in her
time and an avid reader.

Ms. Deng joined our team in 2025, as assistant teacher supporting TK. K all the way wherever from day to day school is needed. Ms Deng is currently full time student at SF State finishing her degree in education.

Hello Mandarin learning families:
My name is YeHan, you can also call me Elena. I will be your childs Mandarin teacher this year at Lafayette
Elementary School. I am also a parent myself here. I want to introduce myself to you.

I am a native born Mandarin speaker, I love Chinese language literature. I obtained my Chinese language Study
PhD degree in Chinese Language and Civilization from Arizona State University. Over the years of teaching Mandarin language to all age groups, I became passionate about teaching young children, particularly elementary
school students. I enjoy teaching language learning in a fun, project based environment, engaging my students in
interactive methods such as games, songs, and hands-on activities. training my student Mandarin in reading, writing,
listening and speaking skills. I want everyone to have the best possible experience in my classroom building language foundation for growth in their life journey.In My classroom, I
only want to create a joyful learning environment where your child can learn and build a strong language foundation.
I am excited to support your child's language journey and look forward to a fantastic year ahead!

I will work my co teaching assistant Ms. Joanne Yuan Ming Lin together in
the classroom teaching your child. I have weekly teaching plans and will also send home their folder. You can check what has been taught with my contact info on it. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach me anytime.

Also I expect you to re-enforce the idea that” practice makes perfect “ encourage your child to do their homework and return their folder to the classroom when they are back from weekends.
